It will be great to come up with solutions together of how to use the 5 practices in our current settings.

I am hoping to learn how to support teachers in implementing effective mathematical discussions in their classrooms. I want to collaborate with others at our grade span for ideas. Learning more about these practices will increase student achievement in math which is also a focus for us.

I always find I learn so much when connecting with others and reading what other people have to share.

It would be great to use inservice time to meet with Amanda Grove (our district math coach) and connect on topics such as this so that across the district we could be doing and sharing the same types of ideas.

I am hoping to learn how to implement the 5 practices in my first grade classroom. Also, using the 5 practices to help my students become more comfortable and confident with explaining their thinking.

I like how you said comfortable and confident...I would have to say that is something I would like to see as well. I also want to become better at providing tasks that dig deeper into the kiddos thinking.
