Administrative Liaison: Glen Widmer

Glen Widmer is the principal for Ames and Weymouth Schools in RSU#71. Before that, he served as principal at Captain Albert Stevens School in Belfast (RSU#71) and Walker and Troy Schools in RSU#3. Prior to becoming an administrator, Glen taught math and social studies in Belfast, Gorham, Thorndike, and Buenos Aires. He especially likes looking at math through the lens of service learning, believing that math is much richer when connected to student-generated projects that make a difference in the world.

Glen has a bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College, Master's Degree from USM, and recently completed his doctorate in Educational Leadership from UMO with a focus on effective math professional development for elementary school teachers.
